Stampin’ Up! More “Wood Words”

Hi Stampers, Last week during the blog hop I shared a card using a color challenge.  I made three cards and shared two of them for the hop.  The card that I am sharing today is the same design but uses different colors.  I really liked the look of the card and wanted to share it with you today.

Stampin’ Up Wood Words:

Here is the recipe:

Card base: Very Vanilla 4-1/4 x 11, scored at 5-1/2

Mat: Black 4 x 5-1/4

Embossed piece:  Very Vanilla 3-7/8 x 5-1/8, Embossed with the Wood Plank Embossing Folder

Art piece: Very Vanilla 3-5/8 x 2-1/2

  • adhere your Very Vanilla embossed piece to the Black mat
  • stamp your Very Vanilla art piece with versa mark ink and the floral design from the Wood Words stamp set
  • heat emboss with the copper embossing powder
  • adhere the heat embossed Very Vanilla art piece to the front of the Wood Plank embossed mats
  • wrap a piece of Black Sparkle ribbon around the card where the small art piece panel meets with the large Very vanilla  mat
  • adhere all of the above to the front of the card base

  • take one of the silver or gold snowflakes and turn it over to the beige side
  • ink the front of the snowflake  your versa mark ink pad and then sprinkle with your copper emboss powder and heat set with your heat tool
  • die cut a 1-5/8 circle of Basic Black card stock with the Circle Framlits
  • die cut a 1-1/2   circle of  Copper Foil with the Scallop Framlits
  • stamp your sentiment from the Eastern Beauty stamp set in Black ink on Very Vanilla card stock and die cut with the 1-3/8 Stitched Framlits
  • adhere your Snowflake to the front left of the card
  • adhere the Basic Black circle
  • attach the sentiment to the Copper foil scallop circle and then attach with  a dimensional to the center of the snowflake on top of the Black circle
  • make a bow from the Sparkle Black Ribbon and attach to the left of the sentiment
  • add some tiny black sequins and large pearls to finish off the card.
