Hi Stampers, Here we are again for another Happy Stampers Blog Hop. Today was a color challenge using Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey and Old Olive. The great thing about this color challenge is that it matched beautifully with the Wild Flower Field DSP from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. This gave me a starting point for creating my card. I also pulled out an old favorite, the Beautiful Bunch stamp set and matching punch. I hope you enjoy the hop today and don’t forget to visit the other team members to see what they created for you.
Here is the color challenge:
Wild Flower Fields:
Here is the card recipe:
Card Base: Whisper White heavy card stock 4-1/4 x 11, scored at 5-1/2
Mat: Old Olive 4-1/8 x 5-3/8
DSP: Wild Flower Fields 4 x 5-1/4
Circle: Wild Flower Fields cut with Circle Framelits, #4 (starting from the outside circle for size)
Banner: Wild Flower Fields 2 x 4-5/8 Punch the bottom with the Triple Banner Punch
Sentiment: 3/4 x 4-1/8
The Details:
After all the pieces were adhered with snail to the card front I inked the flower with the Beautiful Bunch stamp set with Blackberry Bliss ink and punched it out with the Fun Flower punch. The center used the same stamp set, inking the center with Hello Honey ink and punching it out with the 7/8 inch scallop punch. I adhered the center of the flower with a dimensional for added depth. Before attaching the flower I gathered two groups of three loops of Linen Thread around my fingers using varied loops lengths for interest, attaching them with glue dots. After the loops were on I attached the flower with more dimensions to raise is off the card and make it pop.
More Details:
The sentiment was inked with Blackberry Bliss ink using the stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration catalog called Botanicals For You. I like the size of the font on this stamp set, it worked perfect for what I needed for the card. I could not stop, I needed to add just a touch of bling. Some pearls and rhinestones were added just above the sentiment.
