Hi Stampers, Today I changed things up a bit… I made a simple MAN card. I am challenged when I need to tone things down a bit and had fun trying hard not to add too much to my card. Today we have a sketch challenge for you. Enjoy my card and then hop to the other members of your team to see what they created.

Here is my share from the sketch.
Stampin Up “Traveler” Happy Stampers Blog Hop
Here is the card recipe:
Card base: Very Vanilla sponged with Tip Top Taupe 4-1/4 x 11 scored at 5-1/2
Mat: Tip Top Taupe 4 x 5-1/4 Embossed with the Chevron Embossing Folder
Thin Mat: Early Espresso 2 x 4-3/4
Squares: Very Vanilla 1-3/4 square, sponged with Tip Top Taupe
Sentiment: Very Vanilla 1/2 x 3-1/4 sponged with Tip Top Taupe
The Details:
I inked 2 different images from the Traveler stamp set onto each of the Very Vanilla squares in Early Espresso. The edges were sponged in Tip Top Taupe and adhered to the Early Espresso mat with dimensionals.

More Details:
After all the squares are attached wrap some linen thread around the base of the early espresso mat. Make a loop with some Tip Top Taupe Lace Ribbon and tie a bow with more linen thread. Attach this art piece with dimensionals for depth.
The sentiment is inked with Early Espresso ink and the edges are sponged with Tip Top Taupe ink. My cards would not be complete without a touch of bling. Gold sequins were added here and there for the final touch.

Thanks Sandi. I know can you believe it? No flowers. This one seemed so different but I stretched myself. Still added a few sequins and lace, after all it’s me, what can I say, LOL. They just appeared on the card, ha ha
I love the antiqued look of your sponging,Kristi. Very classic looking! Nice, nice!
Thank you Jari. I’ve always loved that aged look, it softens cards to make then look antiqued.
