Stampin’ Up! “Toile Christmas” Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hi Stampers, Today we have a sketch challenge for our hop.  The weather is changing here in the Pacific NW with lots of rain so this inspired me to create a fall card.  Inking up the Toile Christmas worked perfectly when my cardinal was colored with the female bird in mind.    I used my bird guide book to help me  decide on coloring, as I have never seen a cardinal up close.

The Sketch:

This is absolutely gorgeous! I love how the colors compliment each other, and the coloring on the cardinal is outstanding and true. Layering the curly cues in So Saffron is a great touch to highlight the cardinal. Thank you for sharing your talent! Seeing beautiful cards like this encourages and inspires me. I’m also grateful for your step-by-step instructions. 🙂

  2. Karen Finkle says:

Kristi, I HAVE seen a female cardinal up close…they loved the side mirrors on our RV! and you captured the colors perfectly. I was hoping someone would do a female and you did not disappoint. Great card with the wood background.

  3. Maggie Carter says:
