Stampin Up More Fresh Fruit

Hi Stampers, last Thursday at our Happy Stampers blog hop I shared a card using the fresh fruit stamp set and coordinating paper.  I want to share another card that is very similar to my last card but with a few subtle changes.  I flipped the papers around when I put my card together and decided to make this one a bit cleaner and simpler for another take on the card.

More Fresh Fruit:

Here is the card recipe:

Card Base:  Whisper White 4-1/4 x 11 scored at 5-1/2

Mat:  Pear Pizazz 4 x 5-1/4

Designer Series Paper (DSP): Fruit Stand 3-7/8 x 5-1/8

Cut both pieces of your DSP and then cut them apart on the diagonal with your Stampin Trimmer.  You will end up with extra pieces of paper cut on the diagonal, just flip them over and make another card using the extra paper. ( I will be showing my next card on Monday on how this will look, so stay tuned!)

After you adhere your DSP to the Pear Pizazz mat, cover the seam with a piece of the Peekaboo Peach ruched ribbon.

The Art Piece:

Cut a Pear Pizazz mat using the Lots of Labels Framelits.  Also cut a Whisper White art piece from the Lots of Labels Framelits in the next size down from your mat.

Using the Fresh Fruit stamp set, ink the peach stamp in Peekaboo peach ink.  Before I stamped it off, I used a sponge dauber and added a little Watermelon Wonder ink to the image to give the peach more color and depth.   Ink this image onto the art piece, then adding Pear Pizzazz leaves.  For a little background noise, some Pear Pizazz ink was used with the Timeless Texture stamp.  I adhered this to my mat and glued it to the card front with some dimensionals to make it pop a bit more.  Adding a Peekaboo Peach ruched bow completes the art piece.

The Sentiment: 1/2 x 2-1/2 Whisper White card stock, punched with  the triple banner punch and inked with Black Tuxedo ink using the Fresh Fruit stamp set.

The Flowers:  I die cut three tiny Peekaboo Peach flowers from the Botanical Builders Framelits and sponged the edges with a bit of Watermelon Wonder ink to make the flowers a bit more dimensional.  Little pearls complete the card.

Here is the card from last week:

Which one do you like best????  I can’t seem to make up my mind so the jury is out on this one.  Let me know which one you like best.

Thank you Amy, I love taking the same design and just changing a few things to make it different.

They’re both beautiful, Kristi!! If forced to choose, I think I like today’s a nano-smidge more!! But…a nano-smidge is pretty darned small. Pretty much a dead heat, really! 🙂
