Stampin’ Up! Hello Harvest Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hi Stampers, today we have a theme of “Fall” for our hop.  (My favorite season by the way!)  The Hello Harvest bundle was the perfect choice for the theme.  Leaves in rich fall colors of Cajun and Mossy Meadow were the right colors for this fall card and go wonderful with the DSP too.   Please do stop by our other creative team members blogs to see what fall cards they created for you today.

The theme:

Stampin’ Up! Hello Harvest “Fall” Card:

The recipe:

Card base: Basic Black 4-1/4 x 11, scored at 5-1/2

Black panel: 4-1/4 x 5-1/2, embossed with the Leaf Fall 3-D Embossing Folder

2- Strips of DSP: Rustic Harvest 1 x 5-1/2

The details:

The leaves:

  • Stamp the oak leaf from the Hello Harvest stamp set with Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow, second generation Mossy Meadow onto White card stock
  • Die cut the leaves out with the Rustic Pumpkin Dies
  • Emboss one of the kraft leaves from the Leaf Label and Amber Gem pack with the Leaf Fall 3-d Embossing Folder
  • Sponge the edges of this leaf with some Cajun Craze ink and your blending brush or Sponge Dauber
  • Die cut 5 small stems with Evening Evergreen Glitter paper (sponged with black ink and a blending brush) using the Forever Flourishing Die

The Sentiment:

  • Die cut the scallop circle with Cajun Craze card stock and the die from the Layering Circle Die
  • Die cut the Sentiment piece with Basic White card stock and the die from the Layering Circle Die
  • Stamp the sentiment from the Soft Seedlings stamp set with Black ink onto the white circle Sentiment piece
  • Mount the sentiment to the Cajun Craze scallop circle mat with Stampin Seal

Putting the card together:

  • Adhere the embossed black panel to the front of the card with Stampin Seal
  • Adhere the two DSP strips of Rustic Harvest DSP to the front panel on the left side of the card with Stampin Seal
  • Attach the sentiment piece with Dimensionals to the front of the card
  • Adhere your large kraft leaf, Cajun Craze and Mossy Meadow leaf to the right-hand side of the sentiment piece
  • Attach the 2nd generation leaf to the top of the kraft leaf with a Dimensional
  • Tuck in and adhere the glimmer stems here and there to the leave bouquet

Finishing touches:

  • Add a double White Bakers Twine bow from the Bakers Twine Essential Pack to the leaf bouquet with a glue dot
  • Add some Amber gems to the front of the card you and your done
