Hi Stampers, I am so excited about this weeks blog hop. Why, you might ask???? I received all of my NEW Stampin Up products from the new catalog and used some of them for our Happy Stampers Blog Hop today. Our hop for the day is a sketch challenge. Have fun and get inspired by our talented team of stampers.
Here is the sketch:
Stampin Up “Fresh Fruit”
Here is the card recipe:
Card Base: Peekaboo Peach 4-1/4 x 11 scored at 5-1/2
Mat: Pear Pizazz 4 x 5-1/4
Designer Series Paper (DSP): Fruit Stand 3-7/8 x 5-1/8
Cut both pieces of your DSP and then cut them apart on the diagonal with your Stampin Trimmer. You will end up with extra pieces of paper cut on the diagonal, just flip them over and make another card using the extra paper. ( I will be showing my next card on Monday on how this will look, so stay tuned!)
After you adhere your DSP to the Pear Pizazz mat, cover the seam with a piece of the Peekaboo Peach ruched ribbon.
More Details:
The Art Piece:
Cut a Pear Pizazz mat using the Lots of Labels Framelits. Also cut a Whisper White art piece from the Lots of Labels Framelits in the next size down from your mat.
Using the Fresh Fruit stamp set, ink the peach stamp in Peekaboo peach ink. Before I stamped it off, I used a sponge dauber and added a little Watermelon Wonder ink to the image to give the peach more color and depth. Ink this image onto the art piece, then adding Pear Pizzazz leaves. For a little background noise, some Pear Pizazz ink was used with the Timeless Texture stamp and some Watermelon Wonder splatters were added with a stamp from the same set. I adhered this to my mat and glued it to the card front with some dimensionals to make it pop a bit more. Adding a Peekaboo Peach ruched bow completes the art piece.
The Sentiment: 1/2 x 2-1/2 Whisper White card stock, punched with the triple banner punch and inked with Black Tuxedo ink using the Fresh Fruit stamp set.
The Flowers: I die cut three tiny Peekaboo Peach flowers from the Botanical Builders Framelits and sponged the edges with a bit of Watermelon Wonder ink to make the flowers a bit more dimensional. Little pearls complete the card.
