Hi Stampers, Well, my title for this blog is a mouth full, LOL. I used so many products, I wanted to include them all in my heading. I must say, I love the new catalog and all the products that are offered. Over the weekend I played with several and again used the Fruit Stand paper along with the Fresh Fruit stamp set. I have already tried out the fruit stamps, so this week I used the flower image in the same set, Oh what pretty images……
Today we had a color challenge. How gorgeous, they all worked together beautifully. Cucumber Crush, Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight, are the bright shades of summer.
Here is the color challenge:
Stampin Up “Fruit Stand” and Fresh Fruit:
Here is the recipe:
Card Base: Flirty Flamingo 4-1/4 x 11 scored at 5-1/2
Mat: Daffodil Delight 4 x 5-1/4
Mat: Whisper White 3-7/8 x 5-1/8
DSP Mat: 3 x 7-1/4 scored at 3, 3-1/2, 4-1/2 , 5, 6, 6-1/2
After the card was all folded I dry fit it onto my card and cut any additional overage from the left hand side of the paper to make it fit. I cut off about a 1/4. It was easier for me to measure my score lines this way than to have lots of tiny measurements.
I watched several tutorials on the drapery fold card and then adapted the technique to my card. I did use my own measurements to get the size of pleats that I wanted.
More Details:
The Ribbon: Flirty Flamingo Ruched Ribbon was used for the bow and band and adhered with glue dots.
The Flowers: I stamped two flowers from the Fresh Fruit stamp set on Whisper White card stock. One was stamped full strength with Watermelon Wonder and the other was stamped off once to get a light version for more variation.
The Leaves: I used the leaf stamp from the same set “Fresh Fruit” The outline was Cucumber Crush ink and the solid image to fill it in was Pear Pizazz ink.
I fussy cut the flowers, then placed them on the card with a glue dot and one with a dimensionals. The leaves were also fussy cut and adhered with glue dots.
The Sentiment: “Better Together” stamp set is where I found the saying for this card. It was inked in Black Memento Tuxedo ink.
The Bling: Daffodil Delight Enamel shapes and Pearls finish off the card with an added touch of elegance.
The Inside:
The inside always needs a bit of a surprise, so while your inks and stamps are out, add bit of color and design to the inside.
The Inside:
Whisper White card stock, 4 x 5-1/4
The flowers: Flirty Flamingo in full strength and stamped off for variation
