Stampin’ Up! Alternate Monday He’s the Man Angled Gatefold Card

Happy Monday Stampers, Its Alternate Monday time!

What is Alternate Monday???  This means I am sharing a card taken from the blog hop that I participate in each Thursday. I am taking either the sketch or color challenge and making a second card that is close to or similar to the posted card from the hop.  I want to inspire you to get different looks for your card by mixing it up a bit by color and design.  Today I used the same layout, with a twist and changed the colors to give the card an “Alternate” look.

Stampin’ Up! He’s the Man Gatefold Card:

The Recipe:

Card base: 5-1/2 x 11

DSP panels: He’s the Man

The Details:

  • I watched several YouTube videos on how to make this angled gatefold card.  It would be much easier for you to watch one of these videos rather than me trying to describe the way to cut this card.  I made several, some I goofed up (notice one card I am showing you has the opening at the bottom?)  Have fun trying this cut and fold and just enjoy the process.

The Sentiment:

  • Die cut a Basic White circle from the Layering Circle Die
  • Attach the triangle sentiment from the pack from the He’s the Man DSP with Dimensionals
  • Adhere this to the right-hand side of the folded card front

The Finishing Touches:

  • Add a double Crumb Cake Bakers Twine bow to the left-hand side of the circle
  • Adhere a few Rustic Metallic Dots to the front of the card and you are done

I actually like the one with the opening at the bottom better! Makes me more likely to make one that way.
