Hi Stampers, Christmas is fast approaching and I wanted to share my last card of the Christmas holiday with you. What a perfect stamp set to use to truly portray the spirit of the season. Today was a sketch challenge and today’s share is using the Star of Light die set.
Here is the sketch:
I used the Star of Light Die in place of the circle image for my take on the sketch.
Stampin Up Star of Light:
Here is the card recipe:
Card Base: Early Espresso 4-1/4 x 11 scored at 5-1/2
Top Mat: Pop of Pink DSP 4 x 2
Bottom Mat: Pop of Pink DSP 4 x 3-1/4
Gold Satin Ribbon for band and bow
Sentiment: Early Espresso mat 7/8 x 4 cut with the triple banner punch.
Whisper white 3/4 x 4 stamped with Early Espresso and again punched with the triple banner punch
To repeat some Early Espresso color to my card I stamped some stars onto the Pop of Pink DSP using a stamp from Star of Light.
After I adhered my satin ribbon I put a glue dot on top of the ribbon and added some metallic gold thread so my star had some glitz behind it. I then cut a star from whisper white card stock and the detailed star from a piece of gold glimmer paper. I glued them together and attached them to the card with dimensionals. The gold satin bow finishes the star
Using gold sequins, rhinestones and little pearls put the perfect touch of bling to finish off the card.
