Stampin’ Up! Pocket Full of Sunshine Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hi Stampers, I am having so much fun opening all the new product from the annual catalog.  Today I played with the  “Pocket Full of Sunshine”  stamp set and the matching “Pocket” framelits for our color challenge.  Today our colors are Blushing Bride, Soft Sky and Gold.  I hope you enjoy my share today.

Here is the recipe:

Card base: Whisper White 4-1/4 x 11, scored at 5-1/5

Mat: Blushing Bride 4 x 5-1/4

DSP: Coffee Break 3-7/8 x 5-1/8

Whisper White paper for the pocket, flowers and leaves

Here are the details:

  • attach the Blushing Bride and DSP mats to the card base

The pocket:

  • stamp the pocket outline in Soft Sky ink and die cut with the Pocket die
  • with your Versa Mark ink, ink the sentiment and heat emboss with your gold embossing powder
  • with glue dots attach the flaps down on the back of the pocket and adhere to the from left of the card

The Flowers and leaves:

  • stamp the flower with the Birthday Blossoms stamp onto Whisper White card stock with Blushing Bride ink
  • on one of the two flowers use a sponge dauber and add some Blushing Bride ink to the edged of the flower.  Punch the flower with the matching Pansy Punch
  • stamp the leaves with Old Olive ink on the the Whisper White card stock and fussy cut with scissors. Add some more color with a sponge dauber and more Old Olive ink


  • with glue dots adhere the light flower inside the pocket to the left hand side of the pocket
  • adhere the darker flower with a dimensional in front of the light flower.  Mount on top of the pocket slightly off set from the light colored flower
  • tuck your leaves here with glue dots  here and there to add some additional dimension

  • add a large gold faceted gem to each flower center
  • add a few inches of the mini gold sequin trim
  • finish off with a soft sky bow
