Hi Stampers, Today I will be sharing a fall card using the Pick A Pumpkin stamp set and matching dies. This card can make such wonderful cards for either Halloween or Fall themes so you will get a lot of use from this darling stamp set. Our team had a sketch challenge this week to help us with our design. Enjoy our hop today and Happy Stamping.
Here is the sketch:
Stampin’ Up! Pick A Pumpkin:
I turned my sketch horizontal for my design.
Here is the card recipe:
Card base: Basic Black 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4
Mat: Cajun Craze 5-1/4 x 4
DSP: Painted Autumn 4-1/4 x 3-3/4
Art Piece: Very Vanilla 5 x 3
Art Piece mat: Basic Black 5-1/8 x 3-1/8
- Adhere the Cajun Craze mat to your card base
- Adhere the DSP to the Cajun Craze mat
Here are the details:
(For each of the stamped pumpkins, I first inked up the pumpkin in the desired color ink and then I took my blender pen and *erased” the pumpkin color off the stem. Then take your Stampin Write Marker and color in the stem with Lemon Lime Twist. Proceed to do all the pumpkins with this technique
Using the stamps from Pick A Pumpkin:
- Stamp the left tall pumpkin with Cajun Craze
- Stamp the gourd with Peekaboo Peach
- Stamp the next tall pumpkin with Tangerine Tango ( moved it up a bit so there were different heights)
- Stamp the short pumpkin next to the tall one with Cajun Craze
- Stamp the pumpkin faces with Basic Black ink
- Run this through your Big shot using the Pinewood Planks EF
- Adhere your embossed art piece to the Black mat and adhere to the front of the card with dimensional
More Pumpkins:
- Stamp the pumpkin with the triangles in Peekaboo Peach ink onto a piece of Very Vanilla card stock
- Stamp the two tiny pumpkins in Tangerine Tango Ink onto Very Vanilla card stock
- Die cut these three pumpkins and adhere to the front of the card with dimensionals (the left tiny pumpkin had double dimensionals for added height)
More Details:
- Add some small wood leaves on 4 of the pumpkins using the Touches of Nature Elements
- Adhere 3 tiny black Bakers Twines bows to 3 of the pumpkins
- The sentiment is from the Labels to Love stamp set. It is stamped with Tangerine Tango ink ( I cut the sentiment apart to get the saying that I used)
- Add 2 tiny wood leaves and another black bakers twine bow just below the sentiment
- Finish off with some tiny black sequins for added bling
