Hi Stampers, Today for our blog hop we have a sketch challenge for you. I have been making so many fall cards that I decided to get in the Christmas spirit. Heck, why not, all the stores are getting the merchandise out for us so I thought, why not! I am also going to be posting on Monday (at least that is the plan, lol) The posts are going to be called “Alternate Mondays” This is going to be a card that I duplicate from our Thursday blog hop with a twist. I will switch it up with colors to make the card different. I like to use my stamps for several different themes and I hope this will help you get more use from each stamp set. So be on the lookout for another version of this card on Monday. (I will give you a hint, it is a fall card!)
Here is the sketch:
Stampin’ Up! Labels of Love:
Here is the recipe:
Card base: Real Red 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4
Mat: Gold Foil 5-1/4 x 4
Embossed piece: Whisper White 5-1/8 x 3-7/8, Embossed with the Cable Knit Embossing Folder
Tag: Red Glitter paper 2 x 5-1/4, punched with the Triple Banner Punch on each end
- Adhere your embossed piece to the gold mat
- Adhere the mats to the front of your card base
- Adhere the red glitter tag to the front of our card
The Details:
- Die cut a Whisper White tag using the Lots of Labels Framelits
- Stamp the Label of Love stamped image onto the Lots of Labels die cut in Garden Green ink
- Stamp another image in Real Red ink onto a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock
- Cut the Merry Christmas sentiment from your read red image and adhere this to the Garden Green image with dimensionals
- Stamp some holly berry leaves in Garden Green ink and outlined in Black ink using the Holly berry Happiness Stamp set
- Punch the leaves out with the matching punch
- Punch some berries with a hole punch with the red glitter paper
More Details:
- Adhere the gold snowflake to the center of the card front
- Adhere the Whisper White tag on top of the snowflake
- Attache the sentiment to the center of the white tag
- Adhere the leaves and berries to the corners on the sentiment
- Glue your glitter berries to the the holly berries
- Make a bow with the 1/8 inch Real Red ribbon and attach with a glue dot (disclaimer: My new Real Red ribbon is in the mail so I had to substitute last years ribbon, sorry)
- I added a few pearls, I couldn’t help myself (lol)
