Hi Stampers, My card this week is a design based on our color challenge. We are using soft and subtle colors this week combining Soft Sky, Blushing Bride and Sahara Sand. Soothing colors for those precious moments that we share.
Here is the color challenge:
Stampin Up “Botanical Builders” and “Beautiful You”:
Here is the card recipe:
Card Base: Sahara Sand 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4
Mat: Very Vanilla 4 x 5-1/4
Mat: DSP Falling in Love 3-7/8 x 5-1/8
Scallop Square: Sahara Sand cut with the Layering Square Framelits
Art Piece: Very Vanilla cut with the Square Stitched Framelits
- Attach the DSP to the Very Vanilla mat and wrap the Natural Trim around the card
- Attach the mats to the Sahara Sand card base
The Details:
- Stamp your image from the Beautiful You stamp set into the square stitched framelit piece in black ink
- Stamp the same image into a piece of DSP from the Falling in Love paper pack and cut out the dress and hat
- Adhere the hat and dress on top of your stamped image
- Add dimension to the dress with your Sahara Sand marker
- Color in the skin with your Calypso Coral Watercolor pencil and smooth out with a blender pen (less in more for this step)
- Adhere the art piece to the scallop square and attach to the front of the card with dimension
More Details:
- Using your Botanical Builders Framelits cut out 1 Blushing Bride medium and tiny flower
- Repeat by cutting out 2 Soft Sky tiny flowers
- Cut out 2 leaves in Sahara Sand again using the Botanical Builders Framelits
- Sponge the edges of the flowers and leaves with the coordination ink to add depth
- Attach to the font of the art piece with glue dots
- A gold metallic dot for the center of the large flower and tiny pearls for the little flowers compete the details
- Add your sentiment in black ink to the front of the card.
