Hi Stampers, I am back from another little get away and ready to dive into this weeks hop. Today we had a sketch challenge and I opened up my Bike Ride stamp set. I wanted to only use the stamp and not the matching dies for this card, to keep is as flat as possible. It was so temping to get out the dies and add more dimension but I did it! A flat, stamp and ink only card today. I think this might be a first!

I turned the sketch from vertical to horizontal to so my image would fit.

Card Base: Dapper Denim 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored at 4-1/4
Mat: Fresh Florals DSP in Lemon Lime Twist 5-1/4 x 4
Skinny Mat: Lemon Lime Twist 2 x 5
Small Mat: Dapper Denim 4-5/8 x 3-3/8
Art Piece: Whisper White 4-1/2 x 3-1/4
The Details:
The Bike and flowers:
- Stamp the frame of the bike in Dapper Denim ink
- Stamp the wheels and spokes are inked in Tuxedo Black inks
- Stamp the inside tire, seat and handle bars with Lemon Lime Twist ink
- Stamp the basket holder in Dapper Denim ink
- Stamp the basket outline with Soft Suede ink
- Stamp the inside of the basket with Crumb Cake ink
- With Soft Suede ink stamp the outline of the flowers
- Stamp the flowers in Berry Burst ink, ( I off set the flower just a bit and then stamped the flower again to give it a shaded look and add depth)
- Stamp the leaves in Lemon Lime Twist ink and add some Old Olive ink shadows here and there
- The handle bars streamer were die cut with Berry Burst paper from the Fresh Florals DSP
More Details:
I tried really hard not to add any fluff but could not help myself, tee hee! So much for that flat card I had planned!`
- I added a tiny Dapper Denim striped bow
- Add a tiny pearl to the large flower
- The sentiment in inked in Lemon Lime Twist and Dapper Denim with a glitter dot for added sparkle
